Monday Motivation? Oh Please…

Have you ever asked yourself why everyone makes such a big deal out of Mondays? Or the start of a new month? Or worst of all…a New Year?

Stop and think about it for a minute. Can you come up with one good reason? Just one?

Honestly, what in the world do your goals have to do with the earth’s rotation?

Do you ever even know exactly where the earth lies in its journey around the moon or the sun at any given moment? Nope. You ain’t got a clue.

So, what in the hell are you waiting for?

What makes you think a Monday is necessary to get your butt back in the gym?

What is your rationale for waiting for the start of a new month to create a new habit?

Why do you need a January 1st to make a resolution, to promise yourself that you will do something?

Let’s cut the crap and start living life to its fullest right here, right now. No more excuses. No more self-imposed limitations. No more fears holding you back.

Take some time, TODAY, and decide what you would really, truly love to accomplish next. Once you know, take 15 minutes and map out a basic plan as to what you would NEED to do in order to make it happen. Then…GO! Just GO!

No need for a perfect plan. It doesn’t exist. And, truth be told, even the best-laid plan is useless if one does not begin to follow it, or if they are unwilling to adjust along the way…which WILL be required.

So enough already! You only get one life to live. Get to it! Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, April, October, January…it doesn’t matter in the least.

TODAY is what matters…so make it count!
