3D Labs Nutrition: Today Determines Tomorrow

By now, if you have spent any time at all here on our site, you might have picked up on our motto…Decisions Determine Destinations!

If you don’t yet know us well…

The 3D Labs Nutrition Motto

Read that again before moving on, please!

Accepting Responsibility is Step #1

Ask yourself, right here, right now…are you a VICTIM or are you the VICTOR?

Do you believe that where you are, in life, today is a matter of luck, good or bad? How do you view those who appear to live a better life? Those who have more money? Those who have better jobs, better relationships, etc? Do you harbor resentment for those you see as “more fortunate”?

Do you take complete responsibility for your life, in its entirety? Do you avoid comparison? Do you wish success on all? Do you acknowledge and accept, some people might have simply been more willing to work harder, try harder, learn more, etc?

Most importantly, can you honestly say you have a true acceptance and understanding that your past choices are the reason you are where you are and have what you have today?

Let’s be honest now, not everyone wants to hear this, much less concede it.

That is human nature. However, failure to accept this truth, this responsibility all but guarantees…little will change going forward.

Today Determines Tomorrow

If by chance, you have, or you are ready to accept such truth, there is just one more thing you need to know right now.

What you do TODAY will DETERMINE what you HAVE tomorrow!

To be clear, “have” is NOT being used in a materialistic sense here. Quite the contrary. Have is being used in the more complex concept of not just what you own, but your thoughts, your emotions, your relationships, your work, your education, etc. All-inclusive.

Additionally, “tomorrow” is not being used in the literal sense of 24 hours from now either. But in the totality of your tomorrows. In other words, life to come.

You see in short, decisions have consequences. Unfortunately, not all consequences are immediately apparent. In fact, most are not.

The way you have been eating doesn’t necessarily correlate on a scale in the short-term right? But one could not argue that continuous decisions on diet WILL, in fact, present themselves, good or bad, in the future.

The same holds true for an exercise regiment, or lack thereof no?

How about your choice of studies? Your chosen profession? Your relationships? Are all of these not great examples of previous decisions that have led to a destination in some way? More often than not, not immediately either.

Think this through. There is a very good chance it will take mere minutes for you to understand the “Butterfly Effect” of almost any decision when viewed in the rearview mirror.

Now the Good News

The ONLY destination that humans have that is final (at least for now) is DEATH!

Again, we understand, not something most want to hear, talk, or think about, but a reality of life nonetheless.

But now the good news.

When spun properly, that simply means that EVERY OTHER DESTINATION can be merely TEMPORARY…if one so chooses.

You see, as the saying goes, “what you’ve done to this point has gotten you what you have to this point”.

This means, if you don’t want tomorrow to look like today, CHANGE SOMETHING YOU DO TODAY!

You are capable of different decisions.

What If You Knew

Imagine for a second, you knew, with 100% certainty, that what you did today was going to produce the results you wanted tomorrow.

For example, the lotto numbers are drawn tomorrow. You KNOW THE WINNING NUMBERS. All you have to do is get your tail to the store and buy the ticket.

Would you go to the store?

Of course, you would!

So why don’t you take that approach to your daily life, your choices, your decisions? Simple, because of the UNKNOWN response to your efforts.

Because by nature most humans a LAZY and we almost all want to do the least amount of work or put forth the least amount of effort possible…while HOPING our “numbers” will come in.

Don’t be like MOST humans!

Create Your Destiny

As of this moment in time. Wait. And this moment. And now this moment…you are capable of making different decisions in order to create a different destination.

How do I know you are capable?

Because you are HUMAN! If you are reading this, we can make that assumption with 99.9% certainty.

If you are human, you have traits that allow you to think, and when properly focused, do so with clarity, determination, and drive.

Unfortunately, having these traits does not arbitrarily mean they will be put to use.

That right there is the reality that separates those who do, those who get, those who have…from those who don’t.

If and when you DECIDE, truly decide what you want your “tomorrows” to look like, you will also need to immediately decide to change what you are doing TODAY in order to create your new reality.

Set yourself up for success. Stop hoping for it. Stop wishing for it. Start working for it…with TODAY’S ACTIONS!

Remember, excuses or results. Never both!

Always Remember…

You only have one life to live, one body to live it in, so take care of it. Progress, not perfection. Good, better, best with your food intake and some form of movement daily. Get your nutritional foundation from food, supplement where necessary, and drink plenty of water. We are here to help so feel free to drop us comments or questions as often as you’d like and always consult your physician before making any changes to your diet or exercise regiment.

I feel very motivated by this wonderful article from the 3D Labs Team.

So true it is that when people happen to find themselves in certain situations, they tend to think they were meant to be there. They usually count the successful ones as being lucky, and themselves as being unlucky. Earlier on I used to believe in the rule of destiny, which states that a person who is destined to be great will definitely reach that peak, no matter what happens. This means that some people can be successful whereas others cannot. But I finally found out this was a false assertion.

Decisions today determines destinations tomorrow, is what I have found to be true. Although I know this from little experience, this post has helped to reinforce that idea in my mind.

I’m definitely sharing this with my friends. I’m sure they’ll feel as motivated as I am.

Hello there! This is an amazing article you’ve got here. I’m dad once told me that “The decision you make today will go a long way to affect not just you but your children”. To me, failure is not caused by laziness but lack of proper decision making because if I decide to succeed it will supercede laziness. Thanks!

    Hi 3D Labs Team,
What an inspiration! I’ve decided to let my tomorrow be back within the control of what I’ll do from today henceforth. I’ve set a crazy goal that I’d like to see achieved by Dec 31, 2020. Decisions determine destinations. Nutritionally, I need to cut off sugar (it’s getting so hard) from my eating and snacking habits. I’d really appreciate your advice in that area, too.

    • The 3D Labs Team says:

Boniface, we will keep our fingers crossed for you as it relates to your 2020 goal! Just remember one day at a time. 🤞🏻

As for the sugar issue, our best, and simplest advice, prepare and keep prepared snacks ready-to-go, at all times. Simple things that you like, that you know are better choices and that you can prepare in advance, in bags, Tupperware, etc to just grab and go when the need for a snack hits you. Secondly, drink more water. All-day, every day! This will help…BIG TIME! You got this!

    I really appreciate this article.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful article with us.

I love reading your post. I will definitely make my next fortune. I was afraid to make my own decision, since your post has changed my mind. I’ll be able to decide on my destination. My confidence will help me move forward with my work. I was disappointed with the future, I hope I will not be disappointed from now on.

I would like to say that I will share this post on social media. I hope others will benefit.

We are so happy to hear if it helps in any way at all! By all means, share away. We would appreciate that as well. 🙏🏼
